Lionel Trudel has been taking photos for 36 years. In his quest both commercially and personally to capture content rich photos, he has explored many corners of the backcountry of the Okanagan Valley. A conservationist by nature, he has been on a quest for the ultimate walking stick that can support a camera or spotting scope. After several iterations of the design, the current “Okanagan Sticks” represent the result of 3 years of research and testing. Hunting wild game is also a passion that drives him deeper into the backcountry. The dog you see in most of the images is Vena the Labrador. She goes everywhere, on every shoot or hunt.
Jorg Philipps has been a carpenter for 36 years. He has hunted for almost as long. A resident of the South Okanagan Valley, he has been exposed to every kind of hunting from birds to big game. Being the quality control department, he makes sure things line up. He makes cabinets in his shop during the day and Drake the Yellow Lab gets to hang out with him.
